VISITING TODD
If you have an interest in visiting Growing Wheel International in Todd, the nearest airport is (yes) 2.5 hours away in Charlotte. Most people rent cars to visit us. We are nestled in a part of the country that maintains a forgotten way of life. It is our task to maintain this pioneer spirit that is patient and ingenuity filled.
Once you arrive and choose to stay in one of our 7 rustic cabins or hotels that are a half hour’s drive, there are many realms for exploration. If you like the wonders of nature and desire to spend time with spiritually minded people, consider attending one of our 2010 events.
While you are here, you may be served a 5 star luncheon from our vintage luncheonette caravan; or experience the thrill of the hunt for aesthetic treasures at our new Bazaar called “The Medina”. If you like to jump on a trampoline, lounge in the sun, swim in a river, or study local flora and fauna, your desires can be met through our pioneering spirit. At our new “Burrows Building” in the woods you can learn about animals and trees that live on the property. If you like to read or write poetry, we offer 2 handcrafted gazebos for your endeavors. In the evenings you can enjoy old time and contemporary movies at our 9-sided building called the “Sundown Theatre” and our handmade glow-in-the dark- croquet set is ready for evening tournaments.
This part of the world has brought me a deeper love of God’s magnificence. It is my pleasure to share the wonders of the mountains of North Carolina with kindred spirits. Check your calendars — come and grow with us!
